Organize your library

Create or edit a song

Use the new-song button in the library. Enter a title, reference, themes, and an optional YouTube video ID. Type lyrics and chords in the editor; the bar above the keyboard provides chord and metatag shortcuts.

To edit an existing song, open it in the viewer and tap Edit. The editor stays in portrait to keep keyboard use predictable.

Search, favorites, and setlists

Search by title, reference, or lyrics. Use themes and favorites for quick access. Setlists keep songs in your chosen order and can be reordered and shared.

Opening or closing a setlist clears the search so an old filter cannot hide songs in the new context.

Read and play

• Adjust font size, switch between lyrics and chords, and pinch without losing your relative place in the song.
• Transpose with the toolbar controls. Transposition does not change the saved source text.
• Use auto-scroll when the song is taller than the visible area. Its floating control disappears when it is not useful or the end is reached.
• On iPhone, the viewer supports portrait and landscape. Tap the chart in landscape to toggle fullscreen reading mode.
• A compatible external keyboard or pedal can navigate, scroll, and control mapped actions.

YouTube video

When a song has a valid video ID, the viewer offers the official YouTube player. On iPhone, video is integrated above or beside the chart depending on orientation. On iPad, it appears in a movable and resizable floating window.

Video requires internet access and may be limited by Screen Time, content filters, regional availability, or YouTube rules. If playback fails, use the action to open it on YouTube.

Recordings and audio files

Open the recorder from the viewer toolbar to record a guide or to play, pause, seek, replace, share, or delete the audio linked to a song.

• Microphone permission is required only to create a new recording.
• Playing, importing, sharing, or deleting existing audio does not require microphone access.
• You can also link MP3 or M4A files through Audio MP3 in the import selector.
• While recording, actions that could change or close the song are blocked to prevent accidental loss.

Import, export, and protect your library

Import

From the library, open the import selector and choose files, audio, or URL. Compatible files include DTCX, DTC, TXT, DTCXLIST, DTCXBACKUP, ZIP/DTCZIP, and corresponding DataCifra formats. Providers such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, and OneDrive may appear through the Files app when installed and enabled in the system.

URL import supports compatible pages from DataCifra, Cifra Club, and Cifras.com.br. It uses the DataCifra service and requires internet. Review the result in the editor before saving.

Export and backup

A song or setlist can be shared in formats offered by the app, including PDF, TXT, and DataCifra formats. A complete offline backup uses DTCXBACKUP and can include songs, setlists, and recordings according to your selection.

Important: keep a backup outside the device. Online backup and complete offline backup are different features; confirm that the file was saved and remains accessible before erasing or replacing a device.

Notifications and settings

Notifications may announce updates or offer actions such as opening a page and importing a compatible song or file. An action runs only after you tap it and confirm when confirmation applies.

Settings controls sounds, automatic backup, scroll continuity, page scrolling, smart transposition, styled metatags, and the warning shown before interrupting audio playback.
